Hat \u2013 \u201cPrimal\u201d \u2013 Single Review<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are a couple ways of examining this new single from EDM\/Trip-Hop artist\/electro-wizard G.H. Hat.\u00a0 If I\u2019m judging \u201cPrimal\u201d on what I like to hear personally\u2026this quite easily makes the grade.\u00a0 I dig the Trip-Hop genre probably more than most genres out there\u2026and the low-end synth-sounds meeting the bright electro-elements in \u201cPrimal\u201d have a lot of meaty texture to it that creates a strong atmosphere.\u00a0 I\u2019ve always loved this genre in particular because all the music tends to have that futuristic-feel to it \u2013 and I think this new cut from G.H. Hat is no exception to that.\u00a0 Excellent mix on the production &amp; sound of \u201cPrimal\u201d and its chilled-vibe makes it instantly acceptable and welcome to the ears.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">That being said\u2026some people are going to dig this and play it on a constant repeat-loop like I\u2019ve been\u2026because this track will fully absorb your entire soul right into its atmosphere; but with that consistent and constant repetition of the main low-end synth-line, some people out there are going to feel that there\u2019s enough of that hypnotic sound in just the one experience.\u00a0 Like I said \u2013 for myself personally, I\u2019ve easily had this track on for more than an hour straight\u2026the sound really works for me and I really feel like I\u2019m nowhere near my computer right now so much as I feel like I\u2019m in the musical-world of G.H. Hat.\u00a0 And I like it here.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/264318112&amp;color=ff5500&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false\" width=\"100%\" height=\"166\" frameborder=\"no\" scrolling=\"no\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">What always does become really tough in a one-single example of electro-music, is to hear whether or not the artist or band in question has done enough to separate themselves from the rest of what\u2019s going on out there\u2026and on that, I\u2019m honestly not so sure here.\u00a0 With the entire length of \u201cPrimal\u201d sounding like it could be the intro to a song on Massive Attack\u2019s <em>Mezzanine<\/em> album\u2026it\u2019s hard to argue that it\u2019s not similar to something you might have heard before \u2013 but to me, there\u2019s always room for more of a good thing on my playlists.\u00a0 I do think however, that maybe the vibe will perhaps be a little too chill and the changes too subtle for most listeners to latch onto\u2026which would honestly be not cool.\u00a0 The hypnotic &amp; relaxing nature of this track still has serious groove and really awesome additions to the idea as it progresses through.\u00a0 Right around a minute-thirty and the three-minute mark, I like how G.H. has these parts breaking-up a bit in their sound like the chilled-out vibe of the music can\u2019t possibly contain itself any longer\u2026and personally, I liked that this song never ventured into any amped-up \u2018drops\u2019 or really any shifts in its steady tempo \u2013 I thought that added to that hypnotic element of the music perfectly by keeping it all focused on the moment at hand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">G.H. Hat is an exemplary master of subtlety on \u201cPrimal\u201d \u2013 my only hope &amp; worry is that the effort here doesn\u2019t go unnoticed.\u00a0 With everything flowing together as smoothly as it does and that one constant main-line pulsing away, I do hope that people notice the amount of added electro-elements are layering into the music as it plays \u2013 because G.H. has done a superb job of making the menace, danger &amp; mayhem come to the surface perfectly in moments throughout \u201cPrimal.\u201d\u00a0 I\u2019m probably onto my second hour straight listening to this track\u2026it\u2019s been the most fitting soundtrack to the late-night hours here at sleepingbagstudios.\u00a0 There are no windows in the studio itself\u2026and in between when I started listening to \u201cPrimal\u201d and now, dark will have changed to light outside\u2026it\u2019s morning now.\u00a0 Couldn\u2019t have passed the time with a better tune; it\u2019s eerie, it\u2019s groovy, it\u2019s hypnotic and charismatic in its own subtle way.\u00a0 With its solid rhythm and spot-on production\u2026I have every reason to believe this track will pull you in and keep you listening just like it did with me\u2026you can really get lost into the enveloping sounds of \u201cPrimal\u201d \u2013 and that\u2019s a great thing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Find out more about G.H.
